ABOUT HOPE ACADEMY

VISION

Hope Academy is dedicated to creating a student-centered learning environment designed to build capability, character, confidence, and competence in our students.  We focus on supporting and honoring learning differences as we acknowledge how God uniquely created them.

MISSION

Hope Academy is dedicated to serving students in grades K-8 who struggle with reading, writing, and math due to dyslexia, processing issues, and ADD/ADHD.  These children learn differently. Traditional methods and uniform classroom environments often do not provide the support and multi-sensory methods that engage these learners and help them build confidence.  We offer research-based teaching methods, individualized programs, and small class sizes to develop skills and equip students for success.

We believe each child is created by God and should be valued for their uniqueness. Identifying student strengths and gifts, and then giving students opportunities to use them, give them a vision for the future.

We offer a full curriculum in a multi-age classroom.  Students are taught individually in the areas of language arts/reading and math, and then work together during science and social studies.  Independent learning and group collaboration teach students to work as a community.

Afternoons are dedicated to classes such as Spanish, PE, music, drama, and art.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that by providing an instructional environment where approaches to learning are multi-sensory and individualized for each child's learning style, students at Hope Academy will be successful learners and fully equipped for their future.

Beliefs

We believe that God has given each of us talents and abilities to use for His glory. We believe that all students given the right opportunities and techniques can be successful learners. We believe that students can develop their talents and leadership qualities while learning. We believe that our students will progress by incorporating a multi-sensory approach to learning and being prescriptive in planning for each individual student. We believe in being open to the power of  the Holy Spirit as we instruct our students in truth and love. We believe that our students will be more than able after completion of the program to transition back into public/private educational opportunities.

Statement of Faith

At Hope Academy we are dedicated to educating our students in a Christ-centered environment. We will work to develop each student's God-given spiritual, physical and mental gifts to the fullest.  With God's grace, we are committed to loving and glorifying God in everything we do.  We believe that there is one God who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Jesus Christ, God's one and only son, is our Lord and Savior.  We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God.
